Last month, Sunday 25th August, Picart had the honour of participating in Le Salon du Chien, a dog show held in Le Tampon on Reunion Island. This event attracted more than 2,500 visitors and featured the participation of 231 dogs, of which 120 competed in the different show categories. The show was not only a meeting place for local dog lovers, but also had an important international component thanks to the participation of renowned judges and competitors.
High level canine competitions
Le Salon du Chien offered two exciting events throughout the day. In the morning, the United Dog Show by Shana was held, a fun show that allowed various breeds to participate, such as bully micro, bully pocket, bully standard, bully XL, bully exotic and exotic French bulldogs. Judges evaluated the dogs on the basis of their appearance and temperament, awarding prizes for ‘Best of Breed’ (BOB) and ‘Best in Show’. It was a show full of joy and camaraderie, where every dog was applauded and celebrated by the audience.
In the afternoon, the event reached an international dimension with the ABKC Show, an official competition of the American Bully Kennel Club (ABKC). This event was notable for its high level of competition and was attended by world-renowned judges. Among them, Viviana Maione from Italy, recognised as the best bully handler in the world, Jeremiah Pg from the Philippines, one of the most outstanding trainers in the international arena, Ragim Magh from the Netherlands, official judge of the ABKC, together with Davy and Steve from France, champions in ABKC competitions. The rigour of the evaluations and the quality of the dogs in competition made this an unforgettable day for all participants.
A family and festive experience
The event was not only a success in terms of the quality of the competitions, but also because of the festive atmosphere that surrounded the whole day. In addition to the dog shows, the fair offered attractions for the whole family, including games and shows for the little ones. This family atmosphere allowed all attendees, both young and old, to enjoy a day full of activities and excitement.

Judges and visitors alike agreed that Le Salon du Chien was a great success. The competitions were of a very high standard, and the dogs entered were of impressive quality. The ABKC Show, in particular, was a highlight, allowing American Bully lovers to witness the rigour and professionalism of world-class judges up close.
Positive comments were quick to follow, and social media was full of praise for the organisation of the event. The ABKC France Facebook group shared numerous pictures and testimonials highlighting the quality of the show, the friendliness of the organisers and the satisfaction of the visitors.
