In February we explained how Pere Icart and Teresa Clos founded Piensos Picart S.A. as an animal feed company for farms in the region.
It was not until the 1980s that Piensos Picart began its transition to Picart Petcare. Joan and Jordi, Pere and Teresa’s sons, joined the company and detected new demands in the animal feed sector. With this knowledge, the know-how of the Icart family, the versatility of the factory’s production capacity, the quality of the ingredients and their love for animals, they began to manufacture natural food for dogs and cats at the beginning of the 21st century.
