This summer, beachgoers in Torre del Mar (Vélez-Málaga) feel safer than ever thanks to the MresQ Rescue and Emergency Canine Unit—a pioneering initiative in Andalusia formed by six dogs (four Newfoundlands and two Labradors) trained specifically for water rescue.

With the ability to tow up to 3,000 kg and swim three nautical miles, these dogs are true guardian angels along the coast. Always accompanied by their human lifeguards, equipped with life jackets featuring airbags, this canine patrol has already won the hearts of beach visitors with their impressive skills and dedication.

At Picart, we’re proud to support this charitable project by equipping both the human and canine team with:

Beyond safety, the well-being of these four-legged heroes is a top priority. They rest in modules equipped with fans and fresh water between shifts to recharge and stay comfortable.

This project not only saves lives—it also shows how strong collaboration between institutions, companies, and communities can enrich life on our beaches.

At Picart, we’re proud to be a part of this meaningful initiative.
