Their value was so high that, upon death, their bodies were mummified alongside those of their masters, as a token of the deep connection they shared.

The famous historian Herodotus, who visited Egypt in the 5th century BC, recounted how the death of a dog provoked mourning in Egyptian families, who even shaved their heads as a sign of grief. Moreover, respect for animals was so ingrained that mistreating them was severely punished, and even killing a dog could lead to the death penalty.

Today, thousands of years later, that special connection between humans and dogs is still alive. Although our lives have changed radically, the bond with our furry companions remains intact. Because they are not just animals; they are family, friends and an essential part of our shared history.
